Sculley's Seafood Shack

Branding + Print

Brand Identity

Sculley's is a seafood restaurant located in John’s Pass Village, Madeira Beach, Florida, known for its fresh seafood and scenic waterfront views. The restaurant’s previous logo was outdated and overly complex, which made it difficult for the brand to communicate clearly and appeal effectively to both locals and tourists. To address this, I collaborated closely with the general manager, CEO, marketing team, and another graphic designer to develop refreshed brand concepts that built on Sculley’s original identity.

One concept we developed leaned into a nautical creative direction, emphasizing the coastal and maritime vibe of the restaurant. I was responsible for all the designs within this concept, crafting visuals that brought the idea to life while ensuring a cohesive and modern look that strengthens the brand’s connection with its audience.

Behind the Scenes

SantElia Script was chosen for the brand logo because it combines a playful, coastal feel with strong legibility. The rope-like effect subtly reflects the nautical theme of Sculley’s while maintaining clarity, ensuring the logo is both eye-catching and easy to read. This balance of personality and practicality makes it an ideal fit for the restaurant’s brand identity.

Hamburg Hand Bold was chosen for its bold, simple style with a roughened effect that complements the relaxed vibe of Sculley’s. The font adds a rustic touch, enhancing the brand’s identity while remaining legible and grounded.
